The Yeşilay Turkey Road Bicycle Championship started at MAKÜ

The first stage of the championship, the individual time trials, started from in front of the mosque located in the MAKÜ İstiklal Campus. In the races that started at 08:30, athletes took off at one-minute intervals according to their categories.

In the races held in a total of 12 categories, male and female athletes in U11, U13, U15, U17, and U19 categories, as well as Master Men, Master 55, and Master 65 Men, competed alongside athletes in the Yeşilay Para and Deaf Turkey Championship in the Tandem men and women, Deaf, and Men C categories.

Athletes competed against the clock on courses ranging from 4.4 kilometers to 13.8 kilometers according to their categories. Athletes who successfully completed the course within the MAKÜ campus fiercely competed to place in the rankings.

After the completion of the races, an award ceremony was held for the athletes who ranked. Successful athletes were presented with their medals at the ceremony.

The championship will continue at Salda Lake

The Yeşilay Turkey Road Bicycle Championship, with approximately 450 athletes participating, will continue with road races to be held on August 19 and 20.

The road races, which will start at 08:30 from Burdur Millet Garden, will end in the Salda Lake White Islands region. Athletes will pedal to place in the rankings accompanied by the view of Salda Lake in the second stage of the championship.
